observing nature"I hunt to learn about nature."

In nature, every living thing is part of a food chain. Sunlight feeds plants. Plants feed mice, pheasants, deer and other animals. These animals feed meat eaters such as hawks, coyotes and mountain lions.

People are part of a food chain, too. They buy food that is grown by farmers and ranchers. Hunters know this personally, as predators. They know the satisfaction—and responsibility—that comes from getting their food first hand.
