Becoming a good hunter takes a lot of skill. You must learn to be a good marksman. You must know how to read animal sign and walk silently in the woods. You must learn to pursue, harvest, field dress and cook game meat. You must learn about the animals you hunt, their behavior and habitats. Developing these skills takes time and improving your skills gives you a great sense of accomplishment.

"I hunt because it keeps me healthy."
Hunters must stay in shape. Keeping up with an anxious bird dog, hiking hills or setting decoys keeps you active and in better physical condition.

Game meat is healthy and tasty, too. Did you know that game meat has less fat than chicken? And, it doesn't have chemicals. Game meat has great flavor that store-bought meat cannot match. Having wild meat with vegetables from your garden makes you feel even better.
