Hunting Skills
Keeping Notes
To
be most successful, you should keep a field notebook that you can use to
record things you see and hear when you scout your hunting areas.
By the time you finish scouting, your field notes should have:
Hunting
routes on a map.
A
list of contacts and telephone numbers.
Camping
spots and rest sites.
Fresh
water supply.
Strategies
for hunting the area at different times of the day.
Notes
on key habitat areas.
Equipment
and gear lists to fit the area and conditions.
This written log can be worth its weight in gold when it comes time for
the hunt, and can also help you remember important details if you hunt this
same area again in future years.
