It is very important that you write this information down for someone who will know how to find you. Here are a few reasons why this is so important:

1. If someone in your family back home had an emergency while you were hunting, the police would know where to find you.

2. If you fell and broke your leg while hunting and did not show up when you said you would be home, your family or the authorities would know where to look for you.

3. If you were already in the field and some friends of yours decided at the last minute to come hunt the same area, they would know where you were so they could avoid disturbing your hunt or putting themselves or you in a dangerous situation.
