Picking Your Shots

At some point while hunting, you will be faced with the moment of truth— to shoot or not to shoot. This is an extremely important decision, because once you pull the trigger, there is no calling back the shot.

list bullet Is the shot safe—do you know your target and what lies beyond it?
list bullet Is the animal within your effective range?
list bullet Is the animal turned in such a way so you can get a good shot?

Your goal should be to make one-shot kills every time, and the shots you choose to take will play a large part in deciding whether you are successful or not.
