Habitat:
- Coastal lagoons, salt marshes, bogs and other marshy, wetland areas.
Notes:
- Eats primarily snails, aquatic insects and small crustaceans.
- When flushed, will zig-zag noisily upward, then dive.
- Builds nests of moss, leaves and grass in a
scraped hollow on the ground
