Habitat:

  • Lowland forests, moist thickets and brushy swamps.

Notes:

  • Eats mostly earthworms, but will also eat various insects and larvae.
  • Nests are simple ground scrapes or may lay eggs on dry ground litter.
  • Bursts from cover with a loud whistling call.
